The Hume and Hovell Track

The Hume and Hovell Track is a long-distance walking trail that retraces the route taken by explorers Hamilton Hume and William Hovell during their 1824 expedition from Yass to Corio Bay (near modern-day Geelong, Victoria). The track stretches for approximately 426 kilometers, beginning in Yass at Cooma Cottage, Hume’s former home, and finishing at Albury, near the New South Wales-Victoria border.
